Reverse Circulation Drilling (RCD)
Soil Drilling for Large Diameter Bore Holes
Reverse Circulation Drilling (RCD) in Soil had been widely used for Bore Pile construction. It is a very cost effective method in drilling a deep and large diameter bore holes to fit the requirement of the industry. The boring equipment is a simple unit that consist of a large frame with rotary drilling bits which runs by electrical motor and a powerful suction pump that removes the drilled material in form of slurry mix.
We have a great team of highly experienced and skillful drilling operators, who can assist our clients and bore pile contractors in the bore pile construction works. Our RCD drilling rig is smaller in size and lighter in weight compared to the conventional kelly bar type of machine and therefore, it has some advantage to work in a confined space. Soil removal by the suction pump could also helps to reduce the noise during the drilling works. As a result, it is a more preferred way to drill in those highly resided area.
However, RCD method might not be suitable for all type of soil profile. Therefore, a proper Soil Investigation report is required in order for our drilling specialist to study on the feasibility of applying this drilling method. Talk to us now for a better understanding on the RCD way of soil drilling. We would be glad to share our expertise with you!
Presently, our RCD operation is mainly based in Peninsular Malaysia. For more updates on Foundtest Drilling, check out our Facebook Page here
